With Video recording equipment not really being generally available to people until at least the mid-1980's, there remains scant footage of the Southend Punk scene in the '76 - '86 era. That said, there is known to be in existence some footage of a few artists, such as The Vicars at Southend Tech and The Kronstadt at The Monico, The Convicted at The Maritime Rooms and possibly a few others. Hopefully over time and via this site, more footage will come to light and will be made available on DVD. At the end of 1986, most of the artists covered by this site had either spilt up or moved in different directions, however, a few did remain and The Lampshade captured some of them in soundcheck at Reids in 1987/1988 and then put out a local VHS video to promote them.
