April 21st, 2012 is Record Store Day - The Southend area still has several great shops, from Fives in Leigh, to The Golden Disc & Gumbi's in Southend, to Carmel Records in Westcliff through to Adrian's in Wickford and slightly further afield Slipped Discs in Billericay.

Fives & The Golden Disc currently stock new Label 'Angels in Exile Records' inaugural release - 'The Machines' Album - so 21.04.12 is a great to day to get it if you don't already have it.

Also, on an International level, the first music from Joey Ramone's new album of tracks and outtakes is being made available on Record Store Day 2012, in the format of a 7" Single of his song "Rock 'N' Roll Is The Answer".
